Going on an "Adventure"

Our day started with the idea that we were going to go about two hours away to 'mine for diamonds'.  The rain that fell early this morning and our failure to wake up very early kind of sidelined that idea.  So, instead, we decided to go on what we like to call "an adventure".  Say it like Spongebob would say the word "imagination" and you get the picture.  Scott got on the internet and scoped out some possible sites for a picnic lunch.  We hopped in the car and off we went, not knowing exactly where we would end up.  He was happy because we were able to listen to the Badgers on the radio:)  Anyway, an hour or so down the road, we found a decent spot and below are a few pictures of us goofing off.

Scott lugged the old Coleman cooler up to a picnic table.  We had a great view of some body of water.  We also were able to watch a few different people set their kayaks and canoes in the water.  The leaves are already beginning to change up here.  Not quite what we are used to!

Devin was busy thinking up jokes to tell us that he read in the latest Reader's Digest

Paige is busy thinking about school starting on Wednesday

Who knows what these two are thinking about!

Our table side view

Drew took this one of Scott and me.  I have no idea which one of the kids is making the peace sign there.  Probably a shout out from Paige to Brianna:)

Drew's imitation of Napoleon's uncle on Napoleon Dynamite.  He pulled this pose last week when he was getting his senior pictures done and the photographer had his back turned.  It cracked me up!
