Girl Scouts @ LBL 2007
Here are just a few (if you can believe it!) of the pics from our second annual trip to Land Between the Lakes with Troop 560.

Ta Da! Paige and Kati emerge from their tent cocoon (or is that a chrysalis?) on Saturday morning. We didn't have any tent mishaps this year, a la GS @ LBL 2006. We doubled our numbers for this year's trip, so the girls got to sleep in the Taj Mahal, as Ms. Connie likes to refer to it.

Saturday morning breakfast. We needed to fuel up for our big day at LBL.

Our first stop was the Elk and Bison Prairie. We saw some elk off in the distance, but didn't know that's what they were until Ms. Connie talked to a park ranger. We were treated to some bison a little later. Here are all the girls. We were missing Ashlee, who was home with strep throat.

The bison were in a clearing just off the road. We saw some babies and mamas.

Here is one of the owls at the Woodlands Nature Preserve. It only weighs a few ounces.

Spending time at the Homeplace with Bob and Blaze, a horse and ox that the girls remembered from last year.

Playing Dress up
There was a pretty hilarious moment when Brianna was standing there all dressed up and a woman came around the corner and got quite a surprise! I don't think she was expecting to come nose to nose with a teenager dressed in 1850's clothes that were about 8 sizes too small!
Relaxing before dinner after a long day in the park. The girls were so wiped out that by 9:30 they were already sawing logs.

Breakfast Sunday morning was chocolate chip pancakes, strawberries, whipped cream, milk and juice. Quite a spread! It was all delicious and the girls cooked those pancakes to perfection!

It was another great trip with a great group of girls. I don't think we could have asked for anything better.
