Friday Night Football

Scott Rife invited us to watch his school's marching band perform at half time on Friday. He plays the clarinet. They were planning on marching, but the mud was a little deep. At least they played standing still. That might have been more of a challange with the wind and rain blowing like it was.

Then, back to football! Now this brought back some memories! Like when my buddy Jeff Bridleman kicked the spiral punt that landed in the mud and didn't bounce....it just stuck there! Plus, my dad would sit there and stir my football pants in bleach water all week long so they would be white on game day, and they were white for about 5 minutes before we all hit the mud again! Anyway, Clarksville High lost 7-9. They fumbled twice in the fourth quarter and let the game get away from them! So I guess Scott can go camping the weekend after all, no football playoff game to worry about ;-) Wouldn't you rather hike 14 miles in the mountains with us anyway?
