Oh Rives, Where Are You??
Tonight we made our very first fire in our new fire pit. We all agreed that the only thing missing was the Rives family. We spent our time drinking hot cocoa and reminiscing about camping with the scouts. Boy, we miss you guys!!!!
We got the fire going pretty good! It was nice and warm. Then it started to drizzle. Fortunately, the rain started as the fire was dying and we were getting ready to come inside.
We need to invest in a couple more camp chairs. We've had a few casualties. The little bistro chairs were the stand-ins for tonight. Even Jax and Jake got into the fire pit mood.
Well...Jake was a bit of a scaredy dog. He sat in Paige's or my lap the whole time. He wasn't too fond of the fire. Jax, on the other hand, just hung out and enjoyed it.
And...Where's Thomas?
We also went bowling today and we were missing our little bowling buddy. It just isn't the same without Thomas along to entertain us! So, when should we expect to see the moving truck pull up, guys?
Who knows what evil plan Drew is cooking up? We had a lot of fun. This bowling alley isn't quite as nice as our old one, but that's ok. We still enjoyed ourselves and I'm sure we will be spending a lot more time there.

That is so not fair!!! We miss you guys, too. I wish you weren't half the world away (well it seems like it). We'd pop over tonight and roast some marshmallows and drink hot spiced cider.

I'll start warming up the cider and stock up on marshmallows! I wish you could pop over. Planning on the annual camping trip at the end of the month? The free national parks weekend should be the last weekend of September.
