Kentucky Down Under
This weekend, Connie and I took Paige, Brianna and Kati to Kentucky Down Under. We had a great time together learning about native Australian animals and just hanging out together.

Our first stop of the morning was to feed some birds seeds stuck to peanut butter. They weren't shy about landing on the stick and cleaning them up!

Here they are, ready to conquer KDU!

The redbuds are looking amazing right now. They look gorgeous against the backdrop of all the other trees getting their spring green leaves.

Connie stopped to say hi to this Cockatoo

This peacock has the run of KDU

Here's a baby Dingo with it's mom

We had the opportunity to get up close and personal with kangaroos and wallabees. The girls took a moment to pet this kangaroo.

Here's Paige petting an emu. They had a couple of baby emus on the other side of the fence. They were very cute.

There weren't many places to eat near KDU, so we ended up driving half an hour down the road to see what we could find. Jackpot! We had our choice of restaurants, but as soon as we spotted Panera, there was no question about where we would be eating dinner!

Believe it or not, there are three girls under there! We were all wiped out from our day at KDU. Before bed we spent about 2 hours playing Catch Phrase. There were a few moments of concern that we would be kicked out the hotel because we were being so noisy. Connie's throat was sore from laughing so much.

Here is a little 'hidden camera' video that I took in the car on the way back from dinner. You won't be able to see anything because it was dark, but you'll get an idea of how our weekend went!

Awesome! My weekend was pretty quiet. I even watched a Brewer game on TV! But I have to admit, I do miss the screaming girls! Not much longer now!

Breaking out in to spontaneous song, it is just like High School Musical!
