4H

Paige and the rest of the cookery teams got together yesterday to practice the recipes that they are going to be making next week at the competition. Paige's Australian Beef Satay skewers were a pretty big hit. There was also some awesome pork tenderloin and bourbon chicken. I think they will all do pretty well.

Mr. Harold checks the temperature of the grill before Henry puts his tenderloin on. The kids have been learning how to properly build a fire in the grill, tell the temperature of the coals, as well as how to cook their meat properly. It was smelling very good out there.

This is Kati's lamb. It was very good. The picture is a little dark, but it had a plum glaze on it and it was very tender.

After practicing for next week, the grill team cooked up some hot dogs and sold them as a fundraiser during the archery shoot. It was pretty successful, and we plan on doing another one soon.

Drew and Devin were able to shoot quite a bit yesterday because they were there before everyone else. They also set up 3-D targets out by the woods and practiced shooting outside. Sometime in there, the kids also found water balloons and proceeded to have a water balloon fight.
