Happy Birthday, Girl Scouts!

Saturday we celebrated the 95th birthday of the Girl Scouts. We started the day doing community service at the Salvation Army, sorting clothes. We worked there with another troop for about 2 1/2 hours. All in all, the Girl Scouts in Clarksville did over 700 hours of community service during that time period.

The girls found time to have a little fun. It's amazing what you can find that people give away!

After volunteering, we headed over to APSU for the big birthday party. There were inflatables, food, a DJ and games.

Here are the girls getting ready to dig into their hotdogs, chips and cupcakes.

Paige and Hannah enjoyed some freshly spun cotton candy. I had forgotten how it melts in your mouth. We all had a great day and we're looking forward to a return trip to the Salvation Army to do some more community service.
