Montgomery Bell Campout

This weekend, the scouts went camping at Montgomery Bell State Park. The girls joined the boys Saturday morning. Here are a few pics from the day...

The girls have a "Bertha" of their own now. Here is our first attempt to put her up. It didn't take long and we were very glad to have a dry place to sit later in the day when it rained like crazy!

First things first! Dad made a pot of coffee when I got there and hooked me right up.

Our lovely, lime green chuckbox. You can't miss our campsite when you come through the woods, thanks to this beauty!

We went on a hike later in the morning. The weather was fairly cool, considering the triple digit numbers we suffered through for most of August.

Here's the whole crew, standing on the steps that lead up to the Inn at Montgomery Bell. We proceeded to take a very LONG shortcut back to the camp and got soaked on the way. It was a lot of fun, though.
